| Don't judge a book by its cover. Anise Tatlin may look like a sweet and innocent little girl on the outside, but underneath that smile, she's a force to be reckoned with. An expert puppeteer, she's unstoppable on the battlefield when atop her trusty Tokunaga doll, armed with her arsenal of light-based and dark-based fonic artes. Still, she's fully aware of her age and cute appearance - using this to her advantage when she can, and cursing it when it serves as a hindrance for her own intentions. Anise can be a sunny and friendly personality who (usually) means well, but she surprises her older companions with her maturity. Forced to grow up at an early age, Anise is not as childish and innocent as she lets on. Her parents are hopelessly naive and gullible, and - though good people - are constantly scammed for money and are often in debt. Even as a child, Anise recognized this, and has taken it upon herself to help her parents out of their financial worries - by planning to marry into wealth. Always on the lookout for potential (rich) husbands, she's very flirtatious for a thirteen year old, and can often be seen flirting with Luke and later, Guy. Gald is one of her biggest weaknesses, and may very well be one of the quickest ways to win her heart. ♥ She is still only a child, though; one that has been through more than a little girl should be going through. Blackmailed by Mohs to spy on her friends, forced to duel her rival Arietta to the death, and most of all, made to helpessly stand by as her nearest and dearest friend Ion dies because of Mohs' scheming - it's fair to say that Anise is a little more scarred than she should be, at the tender age of thirteen. Still, she pushes herself to move forward, and always has a smile on her face. Never one to (willingly) reveal if she is sad or suffering, she puts up a childish, cheerful and resolute front so as not to worry her friends. Strong and stubborn to a fault, she knows that she can and will do everything in her power to save Auldrant and give it the world that Ion had dreamt of - a world free from the Score. |
